The focus of this Master’s Capstone Project by Tamara Boaz is to develop a comprehensive resource that equips corporate leaders with tools to implement mindfulness training effectively within their organizations. The project produced two key deliverables: a literature review detailing evidence-based components of mindfulness training and this website that serves as an accessible guide for leaders interested in reaping the benefits of mindfulness.
This project stems from a growing need among organizations to support leaders in fostering resilience, emotional intelligence, and well-being through mindfulness practices. As the workplace faces increasing demands and stressors, mindfulness training has been shown to enhance leadership qualities such as focus, empathy, and stress management.
A literature review was conducted thorough analysis of existing research on mindfulness in leadership, exploring both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of these techniques with three knowledge areas: essential components of leadership development training, essential components of mindfulness training and methods for measuring mindfulness in practice.
The website serves as an engaging and user-friendly platform for corporate leaders, offering insights drawn from the literature review and additional practical resources.
Through this resource, leaders will gain a clear understanding of the steps to introduce mindfulness practices, along with strategies to address potential barriers to implementation. Ultimately, the project aims to contribute to healthier organizational cultures by supporting leadership development that is both mindful and transformative.
Mindfulness practices can sometimes trigger unresolved emotional issues, particularly in individuals with trauma backgrounds. If you need assistance, please visit the following link for support: https://www.apa.org/topics/crisis-hotlines.
